Guy, Reason & Lechmere were all off target when well placed, while Bromley had a couple of chances on the break but Harrison Dunk & Salifou Ibrahima both missed. Late in the David Graves went off injured and was replaced by Wes Daly with Tutu Henriques dropping in at right back.
The second half saw Braintree continue to pump long balls into the box, but Foderingham was equal to the task as were both his centre backs. After an early spell of pressure Bromley took a surprise lead when Tony Finn broke down the right and his deep cross was headed back into the area by Warren McBean for Salifou Ibrahima to head home on 52mins. Braintree continued to press, but Bromley held firm Davis missing the home sides best chance when he fired wide from close range. McBean was denied twice by last ditched tackles as The Ravens continued to look dangerous on the break. Late on The Iron had a series of corners which Foderingham, Sobers & Scarborough dealt with immaculately before Bromley broke once more and sealed the victory when Finn burst out of defence and ran the length of the pitch before slotting the ball past McDonald for 2-0 in injury time.
This was an impressive win for Mark Goldberg's side at the league leaders who had only conceded 4 goals at Cressing Road before today's game.

Quote for the game, 'I told you it would be 2-0.' - Chris.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Sobers, Scarborough, Dunk, Finn, Ibrahima, Henriques, Dolby, McBean, Vines. The visitors took the lead on 22mins when hesitant defending saw Gilroy nip in and lob Craig Holloway for 0-1. Bromley battled back and drew level on 33mins when Warren McBean powered home a David Graves cross with his head. Both sides had chances late in the half Falconbridge & Quarm went close for Woking, while Marlon Patterson had a free kick saved by Little.
The second half saw Bromley have the best of things playing some nice stuff, John Scarborough put The Ravens in front on 62mins when he placed his shot past Little after good work by Tony Finn. McBean had two good chances to extend the lead before going off injured and Harrison Dunk shot wide before deep into injury time Bromley played themselves into trouble at the back and a low cross struck Scarborough on the arm for a penalty. Gilroy tucked away the spot kick to equalise to stun the home crowd. Just before the final whistle emergency striker Liam Harwood shot just wide, but Bromley had to settle for a point.

Quote for the game, 'We need to score three to win.' - Mash.

Bromley: Holloway, Graves, Scarborough, Sobers, Patterson, Finn, Harding, Daly, Dolby, McBean, Vines. Tony Finn was at the heart of all the creativity setting up Warren McBean and Paul Vines who both headed good chances wide as Bromley had a very good spell and McBean had another effort saved by Michael Jordan, but the half finished scoreless.
Bromley started the second half well, but they were stifled by the Farnborough game plan of late tackles and theatrical diving. The game drifted for a long spell before both sides had late chances, Daryl McMahon fired the visitors’ best chance wide, while McBean was once again denied by Jordan when well placed. After Wes Foderingham had made a good save from James Pinnock Bromley took the lead on 32mins when a low Nick Greene cross was scrambled over the line by the tireless Vines. Foderingham had to make a save at the feet of Pinnock after gifting him the ball from a poor kick before The Ravens got their second on 38mins. Marlon Patterson cut in from the left and was brought down by John Keiseter in the box for a penalty, Vines tucked away the spot kick for 2-0. Both sides had chances late in the half, Andy White was denied by Foderingham while Ryan Dolby forced another save from Krumic before the break.
The second half was played in very blustery conditions, but Bromley played some nice football and comfortably saw the game out, Ibrahima forced two saves from Krumic, Greene fired over and McKenzie shot wide before the game trailed off to a finish.

Quote for the game, 'Stokes' album will be finished before that guy is fit to play for Bromley!' - Col.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Boyle, Sobers, Patterson, Greene, Ibrahima, Harding, Dolby, Vines, McKenzie. Harry Harding was denied by Joe Wooley and McBean hit both posts with Paul Vines missing the rebound before they finally broke through on 41mins. Wooley failed to get distance on a clearance and Ryan Dolby cooly took a touch before firing the ball into the corner of the net. Bromley couldn't hold on to the lead though and after Akurang had been denied by Wes Foderingham the home side drew level in first half injury time. John Scarbough mad two uncharacteristic mistakes first in losing possession and then bringing down Lee Roach in the box when trying to win the ball back. Akurang stuck away the spot kick and it was all square at the break.
The second half saw Thurrock start on top, but it was Bromley who re-took the lead on 52mins when a deep Tony Finn cross was headed home at the far post by Warren McBean who rose above both his markers to score. The rest of the game was very open and end to end, but The Ravens battled hard and kept their lead despite late pressure from the home side and secure their first win in the league since 4th September.
It was great to see the whole team play for each other, real work rate up front, Patterson look comfortable in a Bromley shirt and a determination to get the win from all involved.

Quote for the game, 'Warren's playing with a smile on his face again.' - Garvo.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Patterson, Scarborough, Henriques, Finn, Daly, Harding, Dolby, McBean, Vines. The Ravens took the lead their dominance deserved on 27mins when Ryan Dolby closed down Rooks Keeper Winterton and his scuffed clearance was lobbed back over his head by Tony Finn from 35yards. As the half went on the game became more physical and Bromley players fell victim to some late crunches. In injury time Finn nearly repeated his early feat, but this time his effort went just over.
The second half was low on quality, littered with fouls and offsides, with both sides punting the ball long and creating little. Lewes sub Lima had a goal ruled out for offside before the visitors grabbed an equaliser on 73mins when Wes Foderingham spilled a high ball under pressure and it was eventually scrambled home from close range. Late on Lima missed a good chance for Lewes, while Harry Harding shot wide for Bromley, but it finished all square, The Rooks giving their departing manager Steve Ibbotson a battling send off.

Quote for the game, 'Add the time on ref we want a full 90mins of misery!' - Mike

Bromley: Foderingham, Greene, Dunk, Sobers, Scarborough, Finn, Daly, Henriques, Patterson, Vines, McBean. A pin point free kick from Tony Finn was powerfully headed home by Paul Vines from close range. The visitors carried on asking the questions and former Bromley striker Gareth Williams fired narrowly wide, before they levelled the scores on 16 minutes. Bromley Keeper Wes Foderingham failed to get decent contact when attempting to punch a corner clear and inadvertently directed it straight into the path of Michael West who coolly chipped the ball back over him into the net for 1-1. Bromley finally broke out of defensive mode and started to create chances mainly thanks to the tireless work rate of Paul Vines & Tony Finn. Finn went close on two occasions, while at the other end Michael West also missed two good chances. Late in the half Bromley’s top scorer Warren McBean had two great opportunities to put the home side in front, but he missed his first one on one when trying to curl the ball with the outside of his foot and saw his second chance denied by the out stretched hand of Preston Edwards in the Fleet goal. Late in the half a highly motivated Gareth Williams was denied by Raves stopper Foderingham and Wes Daly forced a save from Edwards with a well struck free kick.
The second half was all about Ebbsfleet and Bromley dropped deeper and deeper under pressure with very little respite from the away side’s attacks. Williams and Callum Willock forced saves from Foderingham, West fired wide twice and Williams hit the side netting while Bromley’s only chance fell to Salifou Ibrahima who was denied by Edwards. The Ravens failed to create anything in midfield as the strikers became increasingly isolated. Late in the half Fleet had two more great chances to win the game, but West and Willock both shot wide when well placed and The Ravens held out for a point prolonging the unbeaten.

Quote for the game, 'Show me the money Williams!' - Col.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Henriques, Scarborough, Boyle, Finn, Daly, Ibrahima, Patterson, McBean, Vines. Replay – 28/09/2010
Bromley progressed through to the next round of the FA Cup thanks to a stunning late strike from sub Tony Finn which finished off a fantastic entertaining end to end cup tie.
Mark Goldberg rang the changes ahead of this replay and The Ravens started well with Warren McBean missing two good chances. Both sides created good opportunities and Wes Foderingham made a remarkable save from a Paulo Vernazza header at the other end. Stortford eventually took the lead on 30mins when Reece Prestedge tried his luck from distance and the ball skidded past Foderingham to put the visitors 1-0up. Both sides continued to press forward with Paul Vines having an effort saved by Bert Greenwood and Josh Llewellyn brining out another fine save from Foderingham. Late in the half Bromley drew level when a low cross from Nicky Greene was turned in at the near post by David Graves to make it 1-1 at the break.
Stortford had the best of the second half and missed several chances to take the lead again with Sanchez Ming and Llewellyn both going close on two occasions. McBean turned a Finn cross wide, but again it was the away side who created the best chances with Chris Arthur hitting the underside of the bar and Ming firing wide. Late on Bromley rallied and after Vines had gone close with a glancing header Finn won the tie when he cut in from the right and unleashed a curling dipping powerful effort into the roof of the net from 20yards.
Bromley now go on to play at Chelmsford, while Stortford can count themselves unlucky in three consecutive games against The Ravens.

Quote for the game, 'Now I remeber why I took up drinking!' - Stokes.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Henriques, Scarborough, Sobers, Greene, Ibrahima, Daly, Dolby, McBean, Vines. Bromley failed to create any chances and with no outlet up front dropped deeper and inviting more pressure on. Stortford doubled their lead on 41mins when Duane Jackman latched on to a through ball and coolly finished to make it 2-0 at the break and Bromley looked beaten.
The second half saw Bromley come out looking far more motivated and willing to attack. They pulled one back on 56mins when Nicky Greene was brought down on the edge of the box and Referee Mr Coggins awarded The Ravens a dubious penalty. Warren McBean tucked away the spot kick and from that point Bromley began to push forward with more belief, especially once Paul Vines was introduced up front. Sub Sam Butler went close soon after coming on and went one better on 74mins when he latched on to a Wes Daly ball and rolled it past Nicky Eyre and in off the post for 2-2. Bromley continued to press looking for the winner as did Stortford, but neither side could convert their chances and they will have to do it all again on Tuesday.

Quote for the game: 'Get Vines on now!' - The Bromley Support.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Dolby, Sobers, Scarborough, Greene, Daly, Henriques, Finn, McBean, McDonnell. Bromley took nearly half an hour to get going with only a long range effort from Ryan Dolby before they took an unlikely lead thanks to a deflected and a piece of poaching from striker Nic McDonnell. Tony Finn had saw his shot loop up off a Darts defender and McDonnell was on hand to nod it over the line for 1-0 on 35mins. Bromley then had a good spell going into the break, but they scored remained the same.
The second half saw Dartford take the attacking initiative again, Sherringham forcing a good save from Wes Foderginham. Bromley’s only outlet ball from the pressure was Tony Finn who did well to hold the ball up and also draw a number of fouls from the home midfield. Wes Daly had The Ravens best effort saved by Young before The Darts pressure paid off on 73mins when Jerome Sobers was judged to have fouled Bradbrook in the box and Referee Huxtable not only awarded Dartford a penalty but sent Sobers off. Hayes powered home the spot kick despite Foderingham getting a hand to it and it was all square. Both sides went for the win with Bromley looking to counter attack down either wing and they went in front again on 87mins when Harrison Dunk burst down the left cut and drove the ball past Young for 2-1. The joy of the away support was short lived though as The Darts equalised again a minute later when a deep cross from the right was headed home at the far post by Bradbrook for 2-2. In injury time Bromley suffered a massive blow when Harrison Dunk was carried off with a serious ankle injury following a late challenge from Bonner down by the corner flag which went unpunished.
A point earned for Mark Goldberg’s men under great pressure, but injuries and suspensions will now take their toll on his small squad.

Quote for the game, 'The Ref's caved in under pressure from the crowd.' - Sue.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Dunk, Henriques, Scarborough, Finn, Daly, Sobers, Dolby, McDonnell, Vines. In injury time Saints sub Adam Martin was sent off for persistent dissent only minutes after coming on.

Quote for the game, 'I'd have taken that at 3pm.' - Garvo.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Dunk, Henriques, Scarborough, Finn, Daly, Sobers, Dolby, McBean, Vines. Bromley didn't really create any openings despite the tirelss running of Paul Vines, but held the scores at zero going into the break.
The second half started with the home side once again looking to have more of the ball and winning the midfield, Foderingham did well to deny Duane Jackman and Mason again. With the game drifting into a dour 0-0, Bromley were handed a lucky break when sub Nic McDonnell ran the ball past Stortford Keeper Nicky Morgan and went to ground with minimal contact. Referee Mr Rees pointed to the spot and Harrison Dunk smashed the penalty home to put The Ravens into an unlikley lead. McDonnell went close soon after with a header, but even for the closing spell Bromley were put under pressure and did well to hold on to their slender lead and keep the run going which breaks the league record for a winning start to the campaign.

Quote for the game, 'What's gonna happen when we play well?' - David.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Dunk, Sobers, Scarborough, Finn, Daly, Henriques, Dolby, McBean, Vines. Welling had the best of the play late on, but Paul Vines had the best chance saved by Charlie Mitten in The Wings goal.
The second d half saw Bromley improve and they went in front on 64mins when a long ball down the middle found Warren McBean who brought it under control and then smashed it past Mitten for 1-0. Wes Daly & Vines both went close again before The Ravens made it 2-0 on 71mins when Ryan Dolby raced down the left and set up McBean for a cool finish under Mitten for 2-0. Welling rallied late on and they pulled it back to 2-1 on 90mins when Ben Billings headed home a far post cross. They could have equalised in injury time, but Femi Omogbehin’s header was brilliantly saved by Foderingham who then punched away the resulting corner. In the dying moments McBean should have wrapped it up but he rolled the ball too in front of him far when one on one with Dolby free to his left.
The margin of victory was narrow, but you need a little luck when you are top of the league and Bromley had it today!

‘If we go up I’ll dye my hair & beard blonde like Abel Xavier’ – Mash.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Dunk, Henriques, Scarborough, Finn, Daly, Ibrahima, Dolby, McBean, Vines. Havant had their best spell late in the half Wes Fogden went close twice and Ian Simpemba was denied by the impressive Wes Foderingham in the home goal.
The second half saw Havant start well with Sammy Igoe hitting the bar from distance, but Bromley battled back and created a number of good chances with John Scarborough heading wide and Vines forcing two saves from Aaron Howe. Then on the hour came the breakthrough when Vines charged down the right and delivered the perfect cross for McBean to power his header home for 1-0. McBean shot narrowly wide soon after before the visitors had a spell on top, but the solid Bromley defence held out under pressure and secured the three points to keep the impressive form going.

Quote for the game, 'Staying up!' - Garvo.

Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Dunk, Daly, Scarborough, Sobers, Finn, Ibrahima, Vines, McBean, Dolby. It was only in the last five minutes of the half that Bromley go going and they should have been awarded a penalty for a double foul on Harrison Dunk who was bizarrely booked for diving after nearly being cut in half. Then on 43misn came the breakthrough for The Ravens when another great Tony Finn free kick found Paul Vines who headed home from close range to make it 1-0 to Bromley at the break.
The second half saw Bromley start well with Dunk & Wes Daly going close, before Hampton equalised on 55mins, with a rare break up field the ball came to Tarpy who turned and finished well from the edge of the box for 1-1. The Beavers then had two good chances to take the lead when Tarpy fired over and Dean Wells headed against the bar, before they were awarded a penalty on 70mins after Sobers had been judged to have handled the ball. Tarpy stepped up but his spot kick was pushed over the bar by Foderingham who then saved brilliantly from the same player at the following corner. The game opened up in the last fifteen minutes with both sides going for the win and Bromley had another shout for a penalty when Finn was floored in the box waved away by Mr Lugg. Then in injury time The Ravens pushed on one last time and the ball fell to Vines whose goal bound effort was parried by Matthew Lovett only for Sobers to follow the loose ball in and head it dramatically over the line to win the game 2-1 at the death.
Quote for the game, 'Sobers!'
Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Dunk, Daly, Scarborough, Sobers, Finn, Ibrahima, Vines, McBean, Dolby. Ryan Dolby forced a save from Williams before The Ravens went in front on 17misn when a high ball into they box was spilled by the former Bromley Keeper and Jerome Sobers headed home from close range. Godfrey missed a great opportunity for Boreham Wood before Bromley made it 2-0 on 23mins when Nic McDonnell latched on to a Wes Daly though ball and coolly clipped the ball past Williams. Wood pulled a goal back on 29mins when Mario Noto curled in a deft free kick to make it 2-1, but The Ravens were unfazed and it was 3-1 on 33mins when a Tony Finn free kick left Williams flat footed and skipped in off the grass into the far corner of the net. Bromley’s fourth came on 40mins when Dolby curled in a free kick from the right which once again left Williams red faced as it sped past him into the goal. Wes Daly went close before The ravens were given a chance to make it five after Paul Vines was pulled down by Bradley Fraser. Unfortunately McDonnell’s tame spot kick was palmed away by Williams and it stayed 4-1 at the break.
The second half took place in torrential rain and the pitch was so waterlogged by the end the game was in doubt, but Referee Mr Neill chose to play on much to the relief of the away fans who easily made up half of the pathetic 198 crowd. Wood switched to 4-4-2 and looked much more solid and created chances, John Scarborough cleared one chance off the line and Noto shot wide before the home side made it 2-4 on 53mins when sub Greg Morgan finished off a quick move. Bromley battled though and when the resolute defence was broken Butler saved well from Sherwin Stanley & Noto. Stuart Blackmore & Morgan fired over before Boreham Wood’s fight back was all but finished when Noto was sent off for a second yellow following a ridiculous two footed lunge late in the second half. Bromley held out and deserved the three points for a solid attacking and defensive display in either half.

Quote for the game, ‘It’s ok the storm has passed.’ – Stokes.

Bromley: Butler, Graves, Dunk, Scarborough, Sobers, Dolby, Henriques, Finn, Daly, McDonnell, Vines. Dorchester should have been two up shortly after but Matt Groves hit the post and then blazed the rebound over. With Bromley looking drained of confidence and lacking direction they got a vital piece of good fortune that pulled them back into the game on 34mins when a wayward Wes Daly shot deflected off Paul Vines and bounced into the net past the wrong footed Magpies Keeper Regan Coward. Then five minutes later Bromley were gifted the opportunity to take the lead when Coward flattened Nic McDonnell with both feet when faced with a one on one. The Keeper was lucky to escape with a yellow card and his good fortune continued when McDonnell ballooned the spot kick over the bar. The Ravens had two more good chances late in the half when Tony Finn set up Daly who forced a save from Coward and then Finn shot narrowly wide himself soon after.
Dorchester started the second half on top, but failed to create any real chances and just sent in a series of high balls that Jamie Butler chose to punch away. Bromley slowly improved with Vines heading wide from a Finn free kick, and it was Finn’s set piece skills that eventually won the game for The Ravens when he sent in a pin point cross for sub Warren McBean to head home from six yards on 72mins. Both sides continued to press with Hill forcing an amazing save from Butler with another great free kick and Finn was just off target at the other end. Then with five minutes to go Jerome Sobers conceded a penalty with a rash tackle in the box and was ordered off by Referee Hicks. Hill stepped up to take the kick and his effort was superbly parried away by Butler diving to his right. The Magpies continued to press for a point, but once again Butler was there to block Stuart Douglas’ effort in injury time to preserve the points for Bromley.
Quote for the game, ‘That’s why you have to keep McBean.’ – Mash.
Bromley: Butler, Graves, Dunk, Sobers, Scarborough, Finn, Daly, Henriques, Dolby, McDonnell, Vines. Leon McKenzie missed Bromley’s best chance when he fired a Nic McDonnell knock down wide of the mark on a rare break up field. Danns & Andrew missed further chances for Palace before Foderingham made a spectacular save from Danns just before half time.
The second half saw Bromley have a little more possession with McKenzie forcing a save from Lewis Price early on and McDonnell going close soon after, but Palace still piled on the pressure. After a quiet spell in the match Foderingham made four superb saves in the last few minutes to deny Danns & Kieran Cadogan before The Ravens nearly nicked a win when McKenzie had an injury time effort saved by Price following good work by Steve Ferguson.
Quote for the game,'We're going up, not even via the play offs, but automatic!' - Mash.
Bromley: Foderingham, Graves, Dolby, Daly, Scarborough, Boyle, Finn, Henriques, McKenzie, McDonnell, Butler. Dolby went close again before Dagenham pulled one back on 34mins when Duran Reynolds headed home a corner, but Bromley held on to the lead at the break.
The second half saw The Ravens start well again, Vines and Steve Ferguson both went close while Jamie Butler saved well at the feet of Phil Walsh at the other end. Bromley made it 3-1 on 61mins when Ferguson and Vines combined to set up Barry Stevens who netted from 6yards following Lewington’s initial save. Dagenham then had their best spell with Steve Demitriou forcing a save from Butler before they pulled it back to 3-2 when a deep free kick was bundled over the line by a Bromley defender. The Gills had lots of possession and passed the ball round well, but couldn’t find a way through The Ravens defence despite Craig Palmer & Rooney both going close late on in the half in ended tied at zero.
The second half saw lots of changes on both sides and it was Bromley who had the better of things with McDonnell having a header saved by Darren Hawkes following a series of corners. The breakthrough for The Ravens came on the hour when McDonnell latched on to a long ball and finished coolly across the keeper into the corner of the net. Mark Bentley went close for The Gills before Bromley made it 2-0 5mins later when a Tony Finn free kick was blasted home by Jon Scarborough from six yards out. Gillingham eventually pulled one back through Fola Onibuje who firmly headed home a cross, but they couldn’t find an equaliser, Scarborough cleared one attack away with a fine last ditch tackle and then their best opportunity fell to Serge Makofo who was denied by reserve keeper Paul Agu.

Quote for the game, 'No news yet'.

Bromley: Holloway, Fray, Dunk, Jordan, Sobers, Boyle, Carew, I’Anson, McDonnell, Vines, Dolby.
