Bishops Stortford 0 Bromley 1 - BSS - 31/08/2010
Bromley maintained their 100% record and their place at the top of the league thanks to a dubious 76th minute penalty in a tough battle against a hard working Stortford side.
The home side had the majority of the possession in the first half just edging the midfield battle, but they failed to create any real chances and on their only breakthrough was thwarted by Wes Foderingham who saved at the feet of Jason Mason. Bromley didn't really create any openings despite the tirelss running of Paul Vines, but held the scores at zero going into the break.
The second half started with the home side once again looking to have more of the ball and winning the midfield, Foderingham did well to deny Duane Jackman and Mason again. With the game drifting into a dour 0-0, Bromley were handed a lucky break when sub Nic McDonnell ran the ball past Stortford Keeper Nicky Morgan and went to ground with minimal contact. Referee Mr Rees pointed to the spot and Harrison Dunk smashed the penalty home to put The Ravens into an unlikley lead. McDonnell went close soon after with a header, but even for the closing spell Bromley were put under pressure and did well to hold on to their slender lead and keep the run going which breaks the league record for a winning start to the campaign.

Quote for the game, 'What's gonna happen when we play well?' - David.
