Bromley 3 Dagenham & Redbridge 2 – Pre-Season Friendly

Bromley 3 Dagenham & Redbridge 2 – Pre-Season Friendly – 13/07/2010
Bromley’s positive start to the pre-season campaign continued with a second win this time over League One new boys Dagenham in an entertaining game at a sparsely populated Hayes Lane.
The Ravens started on top with Ryan Dolby going close and their good use of the ball paid off on 15misn when Paul Vines latched on to a through ball and coolly beat Chris Lewington for 1-0. Bromley were 2-0 up eight minutes later when Harrison Dunk powered past the Daggers defence and curled in a magnificent effort from the edge of the box. Dolby went close again before Dagenham pulled one back on 34mins when Duran Reynolds headed home a corner, but Bromley held on to the lead at the break.
The second half saw The Ravens start well again, Vines and Steve Ferguson both went close while Jamie Butler saved well at the feet of Phil Walsh at the other end. Bromley made it 3-1 on 61mins when Ferguson and Vines combined to set up Barry Stevens who netted from 6yards following Lewington’s initial save. Dagenham then had their best spell with Steve Demitriou forcing a save from Butler before they pulled it back to 3-2 when a deep free kick was bundled over the line by a Bromley defender. Bromley’s hard work saw them force their way back into things and hold on for the win thanks to a solid team effort.
